PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO THE  JOHNSON LEGAL FUND TRUST  to defray the $37,500 total cost it took to defend winning this seat as a Democrat on the Nelson County Board of Supervisors..  See Help and Donations tab for information on how to contribute.

Nelson County issues:

1)  Affordable housing:  we need it.  We have a significant portion of the population of this land rich county living in substandard housing.  To help keep the people who grew up here and to attract new young people to our area we need a significant amount of affordable housing.   The Arrington, Colleen, and Shipman areas are a great location for such.

2)  Jobs:  Many of our resident drive a very long way each day to enjoy a residence in this county while earning enough money to keep food on the table.  Do you have idea? Contacts?  Please chip in.

3)  Broadband:  Outside of questions about road paving this is the most frequent request from all residents.  The lack of broadband Internet in much of the county hurts our attracting small bushiness, our residents from starting new businesses, and slows our personal ability to maintain communication and personal education and research.  The broadband committee is moving into a new phase of developing a plan to bring this service to this county's residents and businesses.

4)  VDOT took a 40% cut in funding this year.  When will our legislators take their heads out of the sand and deal with this problem.  The local cuts actually help us redirect funds to local rural rustic and other such paving iniatives.  Stay tuned for the updated list.  It means help for the road issues in the South District.
